I have the Century 21 Digital for sale. It works fine and of course is
known to be a good CW rig. I can provide pictures or try to arrange a qso
if interested.     I don't really use it, but it was once my Novice dream
rig so I had to try one. I bought it at a ham fest a few years ago. Asking
$200.  Of course being an older rig will sell as is. Thanks.

1:  I have frequency counter Model  FCC-1 as put out in kit form by the
NorCal club many years ago.  Still works fine and is great as a digital
readout for a rig that has an IF output or as a general use frequency
counter.  Requires 9V .    I think the documentation is still available on
the web.  $20 shipped.

2:  For sale is a Triplett 1101 B multimeter with probes.  $17 shipped.

3.  For sale is my SDR Play RSP-1  receiver.  This is an SDR receiver that
I bought new and its really amazing and a lot of fun. There was a review in
QST a while back. Several kinds of software for use with it are available
free on the internet.  Comes with an SMA to SO239 antenna connector and a
short usb cable for connection to your computer.  $100 shipped.

4.  Package deal:  All 3 items above  shipped to the same address for $120.

I can email photos if you need them.

Model P1 Touch Paddle Keyer by www.cwtouchkeyer.com. Works perfectly,
I just never got the hang of using it. I guess I'm a "slap keyer" from
way back!
Pictures available upon request. Asking $50 plus shipping. That's less
than half the price of a new one.

I wish to sell my near-new ICOM IC-7600 HF/6 Meter Transceiver purchased
new from HRO on 12/23/2016, but with so little time to use it,  I must let
it go.  While this rig is fully capable of 100 watts out, the power level
is adjustable down to QRPp levels simply by the twist of a knob. I have
operated it portable on an  Automotive battery so it is not exclusively
limited to house power.  It contains a really colorful and effective
Spectrum Scope which allows easy and quick location of signals you might
like to know about.  Perhaps the most attractive feature for CW operations
is the Twin DSP Passband filter system,  when employed in conjunction with
the Noise Reduction and Notch filtering capabilities can filter out
unwanted interference and isolate the weakest of signals to contact. The
enclosed Auto Tuner provides fast and efficient matching of most antenna
designs whether a long wire at the county park or the most complex antenna
array at home.

Included with the transceiver will be the original Owner’s Manual, Original
Shipping materials, Power Cord, and Matching Icom hand mic.  I’m asking
$1900 shipped and insured in the lower 48 states.  I welcome your questions
or comments.  I have pictures available on request.  Let me hear from you.

K7RA Propagation Report 11 July 2017

39

Propagation de K7RA

22 July, 2017
Average daily sunspot number this week declined just 1.7 to 26.6, even though there were two days in the reporting week with no sunspots, July 18 and 19. The blank sun condition continued at least one more day on Thursday, July 20 which lands it on the first day of the next reporting week, July 20 to 26.
Average daily solar flux was 85.9, down 1.1 from the previous week.
Average planetary A index rose 3.9 points to 13, average mid-latitude A index rose from 9.6 to 10.9.
A coronal mass ejection (CME) on July 16 struck at 0545 UTC driving the planetary A index to 41, and 27 the following day.
Predicted solar flux is 70 on July 21 to 27, 75 on July 28, 90 on July 29 through August 11, 85 on August 12 and 13, 80 on August 14, 74 on August 15 to 19, 75 on August 20 to 24, and 90 on August 25 to September 3.
Predicted planetary A index is 8, 12 and 8 on July 21 to 23, 5 on July 24 through August 4, then 25, 10 and 8 on August 5 to 7, 5 on August 8 to 14, 8 on August 15 and 16, then 15 and 12 on August 17 and 18, 5 on August 19 to 31, and 25, 10 and 8 on September 1 to 3.
F. K. Janda, OK1HH of the Czech Propagation Interest Group sent us this geomagnetic activity forecast for the period July 21 to August 8, 2017
"Geomagnetic field will be:
Quiet on July 25 and 26, August 1 and 2 Mostly quiet on July 24, 27, 30 and 31, August 4, 8 Quiet to unsettled July 23, August 3 Quiet to active on July 21 and 22, 28 and 29, August 7 Active to disturbed on August 5 and 6
Amplifications of the solar wind from coronal holes are expected on July 21, (23 and 24, 28 and 29), August 6 to 8
Remark:
- Parenthesis means lower probability of activity enhancement and/or lower reliability of prediction."
David Moore sent a link to an excellent NY Times science article titled "Unlocking Mysteries in the Sun's 11-Year Cycle."
