D4 - Harald, DF2WO will be active again as D44TWO from Sao Tiago

DU - Chris, VK3FY has been active as VK3FY/DU8 from Mindanao (OC-130)
Since 26 April. Length of stay not known. He was expected to
participate in the DX8ZWC operation from IOTA group OC-235 [425DXN
1352], which however has been cancelled. QSL VK3FY/DU8 via M0OXO's
OQRS (http://www.m0oxo.com/oqrs/logsearch.php).
E3 - E31A is the callsign that JH1AJT, DJ9ZB, E21EIC and RA9USU will be
using from Eritrea on 19-29 May [425DXN 1354]. They will operate
CW, SSB and RTTY on 160-10 metres. Zorro, JH1AJT also plans to be
QRV as E39DI from the Dahlak Archipelago (AF-038) "for a few days"
and with a focus on the low bands. QSL for both callsigns via
JH1AJT.
FO/A - Look for JI1JKW to be active as FO/JI1JKW from Rurutu (OC-050),
Austral Islands on 1-5 May. He will operate SSB and CW on 40-6

GM - The Camb-Hams (http://dx.camb-hams.com) will be active as GS3PYE/p
from the Isle of Islay (EU-008) on 6-12 May. A large group of
operators will be QRV with multiple stations on 80-10 metres, as
well as on 6, 4 and 2m, and satellites. QSL cards will be available
via Club Log's OQRS only (search for GS3PYE/P).
JD1_oga- Once again Harry, JG7PSJ will be active as JD1BMH from Chichijima
(AS-031), Ogasawara from 30 April to 5 May. He will operate CW, SSB
and RTTY on 40-10m. QSL via JD1BMH (bureau) or JG7PSJ (direct). He

OJ0 - Pasi, OH3WS will be active again as OJ0W from Market Reef (EU-053)
on 6-7 May. He expects to be QRV on 20-6 metres, and to "test
operations on 60m" around 5354 KHz. QSL via home call, direct or

PY0F - Jan, PY4NY will be active again as PY0NY from Fernando de Noronha
(SA-003) on 5-15 May. He will operate SSB, CW and digital modes on
160-10 metres, with a focus on the low bands. QSL via home call

UA - The Radio Marathon "Moscow-870" [425DXN 1340] is running until 31
December. Special callsigns to be active next month are R870C
(01-10 May), R1712M (11-20 May) and R1606M (21-31 May). Detailed
information on the event and the award programme can be found at

UA - Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Russia's first nature reserve,
R100FNR and R2017F are two special callsigns that will be used from
various protected natural areas between 1 May and 31 July. See
qrz.com for QSLling options.
UA - A very large number of Russian stations using special prefix RP72
(where the letter P stands for 'pobeda', i.e. 'victory') will be
active on 5-9 May to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the end of
World War II. A list of participating stations can be found on
http://pobeda.srr.ru/.
UA - RI0C, the Russian Robinson Club's DXpedition to Iony Island
(AS-069) [425DXN 1338], is now expected to be QRV on 18-22 July.
Five operators (R7AL, RA1ZZ, RK8A, RW5D and UA3LMR) will run two
stations on 40, 30, 20, 17, 15 and 10 metres CW, SSB, digital modes
and satellite. QSL via Club Log's OQRS; traditional cards via R7AL

VK9L - Christoph, DL1YAF will be active holiday from Lord Howe Island
(OC-004) on 1-8 May. He will operate SSB and CW on 80-10 metres.

VU7 - Krish, W4VKU and Pai, VU2PAI will be active holiday style as VU7KP
from Bangaram, Lakshadweep Islands (AS-011) on 15-19 May. They will
operate CW, SSB and RTTY on 40-10 metres with two stations. The log
will be uploaded to Club Log (hopefully during the operation) and
LoTW.
ZL7 - Chris, ZL2DX and his wife Catherine, ZL2QT will be active as ZL7DX
and ZL7QT respectively from the Chatham Islands (OC-038) starting
sometime in May for at least three years. They will be QRV on the

BAKER ISLAND (KH1) ---> A draft compatibility determination for Amateur
Radio Operation from Baker Island National Wildlife Refuge has been issued
for public review and comment beginning 24 April and ending 8 May; it is
available on the Refuge website at https://www.fws.gov/refuge/baker_island/.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service last permitted an amateur radio operator
group to access Baker Island NWR in April 2002. Four amateur radio operators
who were known to be interested in this draft determination were notified of
its availability.
NCDXF: NEW PRESIDENT --- > At the 2017 Annual Board Meeting of the Northern
California DX Foundation this past weekend at the Visalia International DX
Convention, John Miller (K6MM) was elected President. The list of Officers
for 2017-2018 also includes Glenn Johnson (W0GJ, Vice President), Kip
Edwards (W6SZN, Secretary), Don Greenbaum (N1DG, Treasurer), and Directors
Ned Stearns (AA7A), Steve Merchant (K6AW), Glenn Rattmann (K6NA), Kevin
Rowett (K6TD), Craig Thompson (K9CT), Tom Berson (ND2T) and Glenn Vinson
(W6OTC). The primary purpose of NCDXF is to help fund well-organized
DXpeditions to rare, difficult and expensive entities. In addition, NCDXF
provides scholarships to Contest University for those 25 years of age and
under, partners with IARU to operate the NCDXF Beacon System worldwide and
oversees the Cycle 25 Project (an endowment-fund created from estate

operation: https://secure.clublog.org/logsearch/5A5A. Dima, RA9USU logged
3,378 QSOs between 22.51 UTC on 18 April and 01.35 UTC on the 24th. He is
expected to submit to the ARRL the authenticating documentation for DXCC
accreditation.
SWODXA DX DINNER ---> The 32nd DX Dinner, sponsored again by the SouthWest
Ohio DX Association (SWODXA) and held in conjunction with the 2017 Dayton
Hamvention, will be on Friday, 19 May at the Marriott Hotel in Dayton.

WRTC 2018 ---> WRTC 2018 is delighted to announce the approval of the last
two sponsored teams, led by YO3JR (Team #4) and E73A/9A3A (Team #5). The
other three sponsored teams are led by K3LR, AA3B & W2GD, and N6XI. The
selection process was focused on radio sport skills (competitiveness),
support of the WRTC principals and the contribution of technological
improvements in radiosport. The 2018 World Radiosport Team Championship will
