Access to the main functions of www.425dxn.org is provided by the 425DXN App
for Android. It is available on Google Play - free of charge, no ads. Enjoy!
425 DX NEWS MAGAZINE ---> The May 2018 issue is now available for download
at http://www.425dxn.org/index.php. [TNX IZ3EBA]
NEW IARU MEMBER SOCIETY ---> On 28 May the IARU member-societies completed
voting on the admission of the "St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla Amateur Radio
Society" (SKNAARS) to the International Amateur Radio Union as the
representative of the radio amateurs of the Federation of St. Christopher
St. Kitts) and Nevis. SKNAARS (https://sknaars.weebly.com/) does not claim
to represent Anguilla, which is already represented in the IARU by the
Anguilla Amateur Radio Society; the inclusion of Anguilla in the name of
SKNAARS dates to an earlier time. With 56 affirmative votes required for
admission there were 62 affirmative votes cast, with no dissenting votes.
SKNAARS thus becomes a member of the IARU and of IARU Region 2. [TNX

POSTAL RATES (ITALY) ---> Italian postal rates for standard letter items
(up to 20g) mailed abroad will change on 3 July:
EUR 1.15 Europe and countries in the Mediterranean basin (3V, 4X, 5A, 5B,
7X, CN, JY, OD, SU)
EUR 2.40 rest of Africa and Asia, Americas
EUR 3.10 Oceania
VOACAP ONLINE HF PREDICTIONS ---> The VOACAP Online HF Predictions service
(http://www.voacap.com/hf/) is a replacement for and a consolidation of the
previous VOACAP Online P2P (point-to-point) service and VOACAP Online
Coverage Maps. These two previous services will be closed down by mid-July.
The User Manual (17 June 2018) can be found on https://voacap.blogspot.com/.
The new service uses VOACAP (Voice of America Coverage Analysis Program) as
its calculation engine, requiring the use of a reasonably new web browser.
For example, the latest versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla
Firefox, and Google Chrome are known to work. The earlier versions may not
be supported. If you encounter problems with the service, please try first
to upgrade your browser to the latest version available.
