True Blue DX ers

Final week for the 2021 edition

With just about a week to go before the end of the 2021 DX Ultra-Marathon, it is great to see that some late arrivals have brought the total number of participants up to 185, and causing some upsets in the leaderboards and bringing the total number of QSOs close to he half million mark. One major example is CE4PS, who jumped straight into the 2nd spot in the HP SSB category, almost threatening IK0NMJ’s long standing leadership. In general, except for the very top positions, movements in the leaderboards are a daily occurrence – a testament to how lively the competition is. Given there are a few more weeks available for 2021 participants to submit their results, we may still be in for some surprises!
Please remember that:

  • The 2021 edition comes to a close on December 31.
  • 2021 participants have until January 24, 2022, to upload their logs.
  • Final results concerning the top 5 positions in each category will be announced during the last week of January 2022.
  • All the 2021 leaderboards will remain available for consultation in the Results section of the Marathon website.
  • The top 5 scorers in each category will receive a certificate in electronic form.

Please also note that, from January 25, the Marathon website will be unavailable for a few days, owing to maintenance and technical upgrades for the 2022 edition. Everything should be up and running again by February 1st at the very latest.

Ready for 2022?

Concerning the 2022 edition, please remember that:

  • 2021 participants do not have to re-register.
  • They can, if they want, change their power or mode category (write to club@tbdxc.net)
  • The Marathon starts on January 1st but log upload will be only available starting on February 1st
  • The complete rules are available at http://tbdxc.net/marathon as well as on the main Marathon website.

Your help is needed!

Please – this is very important – remember to do your best to promote the 2022 edition of the Ultra-Marathon. We all want to see more participants, more competition and, especially, more fun! The main promotional tool is the dedicated page http://tbdxc.net/marathon. Please consider sending a few emails or messages to fellow hams, posting on an online forum, telling your local club. Any effort, big or small, will be very much appreciated.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and we very much look forward to seeing you in the 2022 DX Ultra-Marathon.
