An International group, along with the Tunisian
Radio Amateurs and the Engineering University of Gabes, are planning a
second IOTA DXpedition to Djerba Island (AF-083, WFF 3VFF-007, WLOTA
L-1394 and ARLHS TUN-022), between April 29th and May 6th.
The Association
des Radio Amateurs Tunisiens (ARAT) is expected to receive the callsign
TS8TI on March 15th.
Current operators/club participants mentioned are
3V8SA (ARCS of Tunisian Scout), 3V8ST (ARC of Tunis), 3V8ESG (Department
of Communications and Networking National Engineering School of Gabès),
3V8SF (Scout Radio Club of Sfax), Leopoldo/I8LWL, Fred/IK7JWX (Team
Leader), Antonello/IK2DUW (QSL Manager), Titti/IK8GQY (YL), Ferruccio/
IK8TEM, Ampelio/IS0AGY, Rosy/IW2NLC (YL), Ashraf/KF5EYY, Danny/ON4ON,
Harvey/ON5SY and Pat/ON7PQ.
Activity will be on all HF bands, including
the 30/17/12 meter bands and the CW, SSB, RTTY, AMTOR and PSK31 modes.
They are looking for operators, sponsors and individual contributions.

ED Note:
It is sad as 3V is a sought after prefix and DXCC country, that by and large, most of the operations from 3V don't seem to QSL, as is true of many of the Arabic countries in the area. I worked their IARU Headquarters station in one of the recent contests but was told in an email exchange by the operator, that they don't qsl. I would urge all DX clubs to consider this before contributing to these operations
