Secondly,
it may be time to go back with the policy of 100 countries for
membership criteria. What is the point of growing the club with members
that are not even actively working DX. We don't need more members....we
need an active membership that DX-es.
On
like buttons and skype. Just because there is technology for this or
that doesn't mean we need to use it. Hell, we can't even get our members
to use their radios If you want to provide input to your club...show up
at the damn meetings...it is that simple...Skype...you have to be
kidding me...This is WNYDXA ...for WNY.....I've got it...why don't we
have a skype award...this way we can sell our rigs...(which for most
members are collecting dust anyways) and buy bigger and powerful
computers so we can have a virtual club with no meetings at all and
virtual pileups...
Change
of meeting place...(ZR give it a rest...Hell you aren't even here for a
bit of the meetings anyways)...we have been through this all before.
Friday was chosen as other clubs meet the other nights of the week in
our area....Dinner is and was a tradition with most DX clubs...I do not
wish to eat cold pizza or donuts and lousy coffee at some school or
church basement. This club as always has a social component but it
always was a social component of DX-ers. If you guys want all this other
fluff...go join another radio club that has these activities. This is a
DX club...and everyone knew that when they joined. That is the whole
point, DX ,to work DX, to talk dx...its really very simple....Other
clubs do other things...If you want those other things go to their
meetings.
