Last year the 400th entry came in on 15th August, 4 days before the event, and at start time 453 had been entered on the web site. Organisers are expecting another 100 entries to be received over the next 10 days.
Leading the field is Germany with 57 entries, followed by the UK with 52, Australia 48 and USA 46. Trinidad and Tobago sent in an entry a few days ago for Galera Point Lighthouse under the call 9Z4M, Gibraltar has been a regular entrant for many years from Europa Point lighthouse, callsign ZB2LGT. Barbados Amateur Radio Society has entered two lighthouses,, South Point and Ragged Point.
A request has been submitted to the authorities for some decent propagation this year so here’s hoping.
